While working at Alexander Isley Inc., I served as the primary designer on this thematic for the 2013 TEDMED medical conference. Playing off the conference theme of “Unexpected Connections”, a system was developed using various illustrated patterns and the interactions that occur when they overlap. A series of typographic lockups was also created for use on various applications.
We were responsible for designing the program guide, badges, and signage. I also worked closely with RISD faculty to commission speaker portraits from the students and staff of the school’s STEAM program.
